Question: | I am having lot of blackheads on my back. How can I get rid of them? |
Answer: | Acne breakouts can appear on the back and other part of the body also like it occurs on face. There are numerous sebaceous glands present in larger size on the back producing a large amount of oil. The oil produced by over-active sebaceous glands clogs the skin pore with dead skin cells causing the blackhead. If bacterial infection occurs to this, it develops into a pimple. Back acne can afflict males, females, teens and adults also, but it is more common in males.
The skin of the back is much thicker than the face, so sometimes it is tougher to treat back acne. Taking good daily skin care is essential in getting rid of back acne. You need to take shower frequently, especially after some rigorous physical activity. Exfoliate gently your skin on a weekly basis to remove the dead skin cells. A topical medicated cream or gel containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid is beneficial in treating acne.
You should avoid wearing tight fitting clothes, because they do not allow the skin to breathe and aggravate the problem. |
