Question:If a child is HIV positive, can it transmit the dreaded virus to another child while playing, fighting, sharing food or drink or through casual contact like shaking hands? Is it safe to stay a normal kid with a HIV positive child in a house?
Answer:HIV is not transmitted through casual contact like touching, hugging, shaking hands or sharing their toys, food or drink, neither in kids nor in adults.

HIV is transmitted only when there is direct contact of someone' s blood with HIV infected blood. While playing or fighting, blood might come out due to some injury but that mostly will be the external contact with blood. If HIV infected blood enters directly into our bloodstream, only that can cause the transmission of HIV.

Parents generally worry if their HIV positive kid can infect others. You can not catch a virus from HIV positive child while living together in a house either as a kid or an adult. As a parent of HIV positive child, you must provide a lot of affection and care to your kid helping him in living his regular life.
