Question:If you' re having an allergic reaction, how can you stop it quickly?
Answer:A sudden allergic reaction can set in when you have eaten or been exposed to an allergen. Whether you' ve got allergies or not, it' s a good idea to take along the necessary treatment anyway, particularly if you' ll be in remote regions far from medical clinics.

Alkalising your body with a combination of calcium and magnesium bicarbonate can shorten the duration of an allergic attack, and a number of supplements provide these minerals as a powder, available in health food shops. Follow the instructions on the label. If you can' t get hold of these have a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (baking powder) in half a pint of water. You can also take 5g of vitamin C, ideally in the form of calcium ascorbate, and drink plenty of water. This will help you to return to normal.
