Question:What' s the best type of exercise to burn fat?
Answer:You might think that the best fat-burning exercise is whatever burns the most calories. However, the real trick to keeping slim is to have more muscle and less fat. Muscle cells require more calories (energy) to stay alive, so they burn fat around the clock, while fat cells require very few calories to stay alive. So, as you start to gain lean muscle you are becoming a fat burner rather than a fat storer. You will lose inches, but possibly not so many pounds in the first month. This is because lean muscle weighs more than fat. But who cares, as long as you look good and feel good?

So, what achieves this? Any active, strengthening exercise that you can stick to. My favorites are Astanga yoga, a very active form of yoga, and Psychocalisthenics, a brilliant 15-minute exercise that is like aerobic yoga -you learn it in a half-day' s worth of training and can do it at home without any equipment. I' d recommend Psychocalisthenics as a daily regime at home, plus two other exercise classes (good aerobic, step or circuit training), brisk walks, cycle rides or jogs a week.
