Question: | I am having a fertility problem because my hormones are out of balance. What can I do? |
Answer: | While any long-term hormonal imbalance cannot be addressed overnight, there is plenty you can do to gently shift the situation. There are several herbs that are very useful in rebalancing hormones, particularly one called Vitex agnus castus or chasteberry. Others are false unicorn root, sarsasparilla, white peony, dong quai and black cohosh. A blend of Agnus castus and other nutrients is very helpful in supporting the pituitary gland, the master gland for directing hormone production. Your overall health has a knock-on effect on all parts of the body including hormone regulation, so eating a healthy diet is key: concentrate on fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, lean meat, wholegrains, beans and lentils, and impose a ban on coffee, tea, alcohol, sugar, and sugary and processed foods. |
