Question: | What does a trichologist do? |
Answer: | By definition, a trichologist is someone who specialises in the hair. I am not aware of doctors using this term, as dermatologists (skin specialists) are the doctors who specialise in diseases of the hair.
A trichologist could be almost anyone, and you should check on what sort of training they have, particularly if you have a significant hair problem.
I suspect that you may be referring to a beautician or hairdresser, who may be trying to sell some sort of hair conditioner or other hair product.
' Caveat emptor' !
