| Answer: | You must be examined by a doctor, who will almost certainly x-ray the hip. It may be that you have merely bruised the tissue over the hip joint, but there is always a concern that there may be a minor fracture of the top end of the thigh bone (the femur) which may have serious consequences if left untreated. |
