Question: | Why does it hurt so much when you hit your funny bone? |
Answer: | Because your funny bone is not a bone but a nerve. On the inside of the point of your elbow is a groove. Through this groove runs a tendon to move the elbow, and a nerve that goes from the neck to the hand. If you hit this part of your elbow, the pain that ensues is due to the nerve being compressed against the bone, and the result is not really very funny at all! |
