Question: | I have noticed a pale oval shaped patch on the foreskin of my penis that is slowly spreading. There are no other symptoms. What could it be? |
Answer: | The most likely explanation is that you have a fungal infection present on the skin of the penis. These are easily treated with antifungal creams available from your chemist without a prescription. If this does not settle the problem, you should see a doctor.
Any skin condition can affect the penis as well as any other part of your anatomy, and patches can be due to a wide range of conditions including psoriasis, reactive dermatitis and a number of rarer conditions. Venereal diseases do not normally start in this way.
