Question: | I have a recurring ulcer and lump inside my bottom lip that sometimes fills with blood. Should I get it checked? |
Answer: | Any recurrent ulcer or lump anywhere on (or in) the body should be checked by a doctor. Quite often they will be found to be of no consequence, and a simple remedy will be prescribed, but occasionally the answer will be cancer.
Any cancer can be cured more easily if found early in its course rather than later, so asking a doctor to check a worrying spot such as yours soon after it develops may be life-saving.
