| Question: | Is there an easy way to calculate when a pregnant woman is due to deliver? |
| Answer: | Add 7 days to the day the woman' s last period started, and 9 months to die month of her last period, eg: If the last period started on 5th January 2002 (5.1.02), she will be due on 12th October 2002 (12.10.02). The calculation is shown again in the example below:

= 12 . 10. 02
A pregnancy lasts 40 weeks from the beginning of the last period, but only 38 weeks from conception, because a woman ovulates two weeks after her period starts.
