Causes of Bruxism Commonly a sign of stress or tension, may be a nervous habit, or during sleep can occur with nightmares. Very common in patients with mental retardation. |

Treatment for Bruxism A mild muscle relaxing and anxiety reducing medication (eg. diazepam) is sometimes appropriate. A dentist hould check the teeth regularly.
