Causes of Non-Hodgkin' s Lymphoma Unknown. Closely related to some forms of leukemia. Much more common than Hodgkin' s disease. |
Symptoms of Non-Hodgkin' s Lymphoma Persistent, painless enlargement of the lymph nodes in the neck, armpit, groin or other areas including the belly. Patients may be tired and develop an itch, but rarely any fever. |
Tests for Non-Hodgkin' s Lymphoma Diagnosed by biopsy of an affected lymph node. Blood tests may also be abnormal. |
Treatment for Non-Hodgkin' s Lymphoma Depends upon the stage at which the cancer is detected. May involve surgery, irradiation and chemotherapy (anti-cancer drugs).

Complications of Non-Hodgkin' s Lymphoma of its treatment May spread to distant lymph nodes and other organs. |
Likely Outcome of Non-Hodgkin' s Lymphoma Remission common, but complete cure rare. Even in advanced stages, ten year survival is now common. |
