Causes of Posner-Schlossman Syndrome
Inflammation of the drainage system for the fluid in the eye.
Symptoms of Posner-Schlossman Syndrome
Halos around lights, blurred vision and sometimes pain.
Tests for Posner-Schlossman Syndrome
Diagnosed by measuring the pressure in the eye using a tonometer (device that rests on the anesthetized eye, or a brief puff of air onto the eye).
Treatment for Posner-Schlossman Syndrome
Steroid eye drops, glaucoma drops, and indomethacin tablets.
Complications of Posner-Schlossman Syndrome of its treatment
Repeated attacks may cause permanent eye damage.
Likely Outcome of Posner-Schlossman Syndrome
Good response to treatment for each attack, but future attacks cannot be prevented.
