Question 1:	I have a hernia and have had conflicting advice on whether to have the operation in view of my age (65 years), and also due to the fact that I have had this condition for two years, and do not experience any pain or discomfort. Your opinion would be very much appreciated.
Question 2:	I have a hernia in my groin. It looks pretty ugly, but no-one ever sees it, and it causes me only slight discomfort. Why do these occur?
Question 3:	I have had a double inguinal hernia repair, and now the skin low down on my stomach is numb. Will this get better?

Question 7:	My husband has a hiatus hernia after developing peritonitis from gall stones stuck in a duct, and is in constant discomfort, particularly after eating certain foods. His doctor has told him to put up with the pain but I don' t think that' s good enough. What can be done to help him?
