Causes of Thalassaemia beta Minor Familial. If someone with thalassaemia beta minor marries a normal person, half their children have the chance of having the minor form of the disease. If two people with thalassaemia beta minor marry, statistically one quarter of their children will have the far more serious and disabling major form of the disease, one half will have the minor form, and the other quarter will have neither. |
